When it comes to planning and organizing a ceremony for your relationship, it might be helpful (for some) to break it down into the four main phases.
IDEAS-
Most generally, these are the early stages where couples decide where they’ll get married and how much they are able to budget for their ceremony.
DECISIONS-
Fun time for some and painful for others… this is when you will choose the vendors you will be working with; cakes, food & beverage, music, DJ, photographer, florist, officiant, formal wear, dresses, makeup and hair, transportation, venue, reception hall, honeymoon travel…
DETAILS-
Prior to the ceremony, as the selections begin to arrive, the couple will review the choices they made and work with vendors to make any needed changes.
EVENT-
The day has arrived! It is time for the vendors to do what they do best, take care of you and insure your objectives, vision and desires are carried out. This is when those with a wedding planner or day of coordinator will be coordinating and managing timetables and schedules.
I believe that it is important for each couple to be told how important it is to start, remain and finish being organized with details. Names, phone numbers, emails, dates, contracts, changes, charges, etc. A folder for each vendor is so important. It takes the guess work out when you need to find a fact, confirm details, or make changes.
