A Dress to Wear Again

Many brides say they’d like to find a bridesmaid dress that their friends can wear again after the big day When you think about it this is really pretty hard to accomplish; but not impossible.

As the bride, you shouldn’t feel guilty if the dress can’t be worn again because for one thing, the wedding is a formal event, and most people don’t have too many formal events to attend where they need a dress like those worn by the wedding party.  You shouldn’t have to compromise by going for a more casual look just to please your bridesmaids.

The other thing that is out of your control is whether every girl will love the dress you pick.  Most likely you’ll have some who will love the dress and it will fit them well so that increases the chance of it being worn again, but for others it just won’t be their style.  Again you are the bride and it’s about what works for your wedding style.

Now with those things being said if you’re still set on getting more than one use out of the dress there are a couple ways to make it work.  The best advice is to keep the dress simple, a classic look that could go from one year to the next.

First choose a color that is neutral, like Black, Navy, and shades of Gray or Brown.  Because these colors are not bold and memorable there is more of a chance they can be worn again and no one will say, oh that was the dress from so and so’s wedding.  These colors tend to flatter most people as well.

The next thing to consider is length.  Short dresses tend to be less formal which as we discussed earlier makes them more easily worn for less formal events in the future.

The last thing to consider is cut of the dress, if the dress has more of an a-line cut its going to flatter most people.  Also you want avoid any large details on the dress , like flowers bows or ruffles, unless they can be removed.

  2. The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but
I had to share it with someone!

  3. Better insulation, for example, both saves you money and keeps
you warm. Today, more than ever before, home owners are using DIY
kits to improve their homes themselves as opposed to the previous trend where technicians and
handy men were usually hired to undertake these improvements.
This can make them look updated without the expense of a full remodel.

  4. Excellent blog right here! Additionally your web site lots
up very fast! What host are you the usage of? Can I am getting your affiliate link to your host?
